Thesis Project

A. NATURE AND PURPOSE

The Thesis Project is a detailed description of the thesis research that is to be submitted for approval to the Committee of Studies of the Religious Studies Sector of the Department of Classics and Religious Studies. 

B. WHEN TO SUMIT THE PROJECT

The Thesis Project is to be submitted after the Colloquium has been held. The suggestions received at the Colloquium are to be incorporated into the Project.

C. PRESENTATION OF THE PROJECT

The Project should be presented in approximately 4 to 6 pages that include the information that was contained in the Colloquium Project, but was revised in the light of the discussion at the Colloquium:

  • Name of student
  • Degree sought
  • Name of thesis director
  • Contents of the thesis under the following categories: 

    1. TITLE
    2. PROBLEM
    3. PREVIOUS WORK IN THE FIELD
    4. METHOD
    5. TENTATIVE TABLE OF CONTENTS
    6. BIBLIOGRAPHY

The Project is to be signed and dated by both the student and the thesis director.
