Science Advice in Canada: Are we Entering a New Renaissance?

The Institute for Science, Society and Policy hosted for the first time in a public panel the Chief Science Advisor of Canada, Dr. Mona Nemer, the Chief Scientist of Québec, Dr. Rémi Quirion and the Chief Scientist of Ontario, Dr. Molly Shoichet. 

The panel began with a presentation by Professor Marc Saner (uOttawa, inaugural Director of the ISSP) on the Manifesto for 2030 – Scientific Advice for the Global Goals of the International Network for Government Science Advice (INGSA). Afterwards, the panel, consisting by Professor Saner and the three Chief Scientists explored the question, “Science Advice in Canada: Are We Entering a New renaissance?”.
