Colloquium: Digital Approaches to Medieval and Renaissance Studies

The colloquium will explore the implications of digitalization for the study of medieval and renaissance culture. James Nelson Novoa, University of Ottawa, and Rafael Girón-Pascual, University of Granada, will discuss the use of digital tools to trace the movement of Sephardic Jews in the Iberian diaspora. Kouky Fianu, University of Ottawa, will discuss the use of a geomatic grid to trace the history of Paris, looking especially at the location of booksellers and book crafts in the Middle Ages.
