Dr. Yves Laberge is a sociologist and serves as Senior Book Series Editor at Les Presses de l'Université Laval. He began teaching at the University of Ottawa in 2006 as visiting professor. After a postdoctoral research in Paris, Yves Laberge was visiting professor for the University of Iceland (Reykjavik), the Université d’Aix-Marseille, and the Université européenne de Rennes (Chaire des Amériques) in 2011. He worked as consultant in film history at the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec from 1995 to 2005. He served as board member for the Association for Canadian Studies, the Association francophone pour le savoir (ACFAS); he was appointed by the Governor in Council (GIC) on the Canadian Museum for Human Rights’ founding board in 2008. Apart from numerous articles in academic journals, Yves Laberge is the sole author of 180 encyclopedia entries, a dozen of forewords for scholarly books, and more than 800 book reviews.
