Congratulations to Diane Daoust, Office Administrative Assistant for the Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute (OLBI), for being awarded the 2018 Award of Excellence for Administrative Staff of the Faculty of Arts at the holiday celebration that took place last Friday, December 14.
This award, given since 2014, is intended to recognize the work excellence of administrative staff in the areas of administrative support, student support and service to faculty.
Diane is a key contributor and the go-to person at the Institute. She is an efficient, knowledgeable and kind professional. Diane’s integrity and work ethics are unmatched. She is a skilled and creative problem solver, an outstanding administrator with strong organizational skills. She has a true commitment to excellence. She exemplifies the qualities that are central to service excellence: professionalism, empathy, reliability, accuracy and commitment. She offers exceptional customer service; she shares her competencies with others with kindness, focusing on helpfulness. She embodies a perfect combination of skills and personal qualities.
It is especially for these values of excellence, competence and professionalism, while showing great human and interpersonal qualities that the Faculty of Arts awards her the Award of Excellence for Administrative Staff. The selection committee was impressed by the amount of positive recommendations and praise for Diane, and this coming from many colleagues who have had the privilege of working with Diane over the past 37 years.
