The School of Translation and Interpretation and the Faculty of Arts signed a new collaboration agreement with the Government of Canada’s Translation Bureau. Renewing the close ties between the School and the federal government, the agreement will offer students the opportunity to gain professional translation and terminology experience during placements with the Bureau through the co-op, FSWEP and collaborative mentoring programs, and also reaffirms the Bureau’s support for and participation in teaching in our Master of Conference Interpreting program.

The agreement also opens the doors to exciting new collaborations in research and in the form of the Language Professionals in Residence program, in which Bureau employees can share their expertise as advisers and mentors in our programs on campus.
