Professor Lynne Bowker, becomes the newest Concordia Library researcher-in-residence.

Professor at the University of Ottawa’s School of Translation and Interpretation with a cross-appointment to the School of Information Studies, Lynne Bowker is part of a research program at Concordia where she will use her own expertise in the area of translation technology to help all members of the scholarly community improve their machine translation (MT) literacy in the context of scholarly communication. Her goal is to enable MT users to « avoid the pitfalls of this technology while optimizing its strengths. »
