This year the Faculty of Arts is proud to recognize the achievements of three professors who demonstrated outstanding academic teaching and research excellence.
Paul Birt, professor and holder of the Chair of Celtic Studies in the Department of Modern Languages, is recognized for his teaching excellence and for significantly enhancing the student academic experience. Birt received the Distinguished Teaching Award.
Lucie Hotte, holder of the Research Chair on How Minority Literature is Created and Received and Professor in the Département de Français, receives the Professor of the Year Award to acknowledge her excellence in the three domains of teaching, research/creation, and service to the university community.
Jackie Dawson, Canada Research Chair in Environment, Society and Policy and Professor in the Department of Geography, Environment and Geomatics, receives the Young Researcher of the Year Award recognizing her outstanding achievement as a researcher in the early stages of her academic career.
