[Jean Quirion]

The Faculty of Arts’ Executive Committee and the Dean’s Office continue to work closely to identify the best structure and resources to help support our professor in the transition/transformation of their courses to a digital learning format. In all models explored, the key consideration and guiding principles have been supporting our professor.

After an in depth consultation with the Chairs and Vice-Deans, we are pleased to announce that the Professor Jean Quirion (School of Translation and Interpretation) has been named Interim Vice-Dean, Digital Learning, starting immediately for a one-year period, until May 31, 2021. In this position, reporting to the Vice-Dean Programs and Vice-Dean Student Affairs, he will build on his extensive relationship with Teaching and Learning Support Service and his experience as peer coach as the prof-in residence at the Centre for Academic Leadership.

We are grateful to Professor Quirion for his willingness to step in to fill the important position of Interim Associate Vice-Dean, Digital Learning. Please join us in welcoming him to his new responsibilities.
