Pilot Project: Research essay support

Posted on Tuesday, November 20, 2018

The end of the term is rapidly approaching which often brings stress as semester long projects come due. Your first line of defense when struggling with an assignment is to consult your professor.

A new departmental pilot project explores the possibility of providing an additional resource for history students wrestling with essay problems of a generic nature. Professor Tom Boogaart will hold special consultation hours. Consultations must be focused on fixing specific structural and argumentative problems. For help on content, interpreting particular sources or historiography, you must consult your professor.

Three step process

1) See your own professor first

2) Make an appointment, using the link: https://doodle.com/poll/h65qfxt425h5ax5g

3) Make sure you have with you the draft of your essay and the instruction sheet (or syllabus)
