Prof. Beatrice Craig has been elected a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, Academy of the Arts and Humanities.

This is how the RSC describes Dr. Craig's work:

Praised as a historian of economic, social and cultural change, Béatrice Craig is a well-known specialist on the emergence of western capitalist societies. Studying both Canadian rural societies and the changing experience of women in France in the 19th century, she has significantly contributed to research on the Atlantic World. Her numerous publications, well received in Canada and abroad, have won her several prestigious awards.
