Inauguration of the new minor in Latin American Studies

Many professors and students attended the event which was accompanied by the lovely music performed by two groups: Andean Colours and Roda de Samba. The inauguration was also attended by Dean of Arts Antoni Lewkowicz, Vice-Dean Academic Geneviève Mareschal, the Dean of the Latin American Ambassadors Arturo G. Bothamley as well as the ambassadors of Colombia, Brazil, Guatemala, Cuba, Uruguay, the Chargés d'Affairs of Venezuela and of Paraguay, the Minister Counsellor of Colombia, the Counsellor and the First Secretary of the Dominican Republic. The guests also included Carolina Calderón, a former Salvadorean diplomat who has been very active in promoting the Latin American program and Antonio Misaka, a very active member of the local Brazilian community.
