Image of the Landolfi violin

The violin is often perceived as rather tight collared, limited to the classical concert hall, and dressed in a tailcoat. But on this program we present some examples of what can happen when we loosen the collar and explore different genres - Jazz, Tango, and Film.

This next concert of the Music at Tabaret 2018-2019 series takes place on Sunday, November 18 at 2:00 pm in Huguette Labelle Hall (Room 112), Tabaret Hall, 550 Cumberland Street.  Unchained Violin will feature Yehonatan Berick, violin and viola; Louis Trépanier, guitar; John Geggie, double-bass; Jonathan Wade, drums; and Frédéric Lacroix, piano.

Program –
PIAZZOLLA: Histoire du Tango for Guitar and Violin
CORIGLIANO: The Red Violin Caprices
BOLLING: Suite for Violin and Jazz Piano Trio
