Rebecca Gray won top prize in the University of Ottawa/The Thirteen Strings Composition Competition

Congratulations to Rebecca Gray, first winner of the University of Ottawa/The Thirteen Strings Composition Competition, for her piece, This House has been at Sea. Rebecca was one of five finalists, including Jaeyoung Chong, Derek Horemans, Sylvain Margot and Jason Young, whose work was presented in a workshop on Saturday, January 16 as part of Forum 2016 of the Canadian New Music Network (CNMN). The judges were very impressed with the work of all five composers.  Rebecca is in her fourth year of the Bachelor of Music program, studying voice with Yoriko Tanno-Kimmons and composition with Frédéric Lacroix.
