Cellists Roland Gjernes and Isidora Nojkovic, both former students of Paul Marleyn, have just begun their graduate studies on scholarship with master pedagogue Philippe Muller at the Manhattan School of Music. Philippe Muller was celebrated professor of cello at the Conservatoire de Paris for many years before moving last year to New York.  During his more than three decades of teaching, he has trained an impressive number of talented young cellists, including Xavier Phillips and Gautier Capuçon who have gone on to have remarkable solo careers.

Philippe Muller will be at the University of Ottawa to give a master class on February 8 and 9, 2016.
