Sean CLARKE

Biography

Sean Clarke is a composer, flutist and theorist from Calgary. Before completing a doctorate in composition at the University of Montréal, he studied flute and composition at the Royal Northern College of Music, England, and the University of Calgary. His works have been performed in France, Canada and the U.S. by groups including the National Youth Orchestra, Quatuor Bozzini, Ensemble Mise-En, and the Land’s End Ensemble with guest Robert Aitken, as well as featured at the World Saxophone Congress and the Canadian University Music Society annual conference. Sean has presented his theory research at national and regional conferences and was the recipient of a SSHRC Joseph-Armand Bombardier Doctoral Scholarship.
