A graduate of the ÉSIS MIS program (2015) – César Villamizar – was hired by the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies last August to assist with the huge task of managing its electronic documents
In January, the Faculty reached the end of phase I of the project, which was to develop and implement a classification and naming system for organizing the documents associated with Quality Assurance.
As a result of this work Professor Lynne Bowker and César published an article in “The Open Shelf”, which is maintained by the Ontario Library Association.
Their followup CAIS/ACSI 2016 conference paper "The Embedded Records Manager: A pilot study emphasizing the importance of community as a key to success" have just won the Best Practitioner Paper award!
Congratulations to Lynne Bowker and César Villamizar!
Au plaisir de vous voir bientôt,
