ESIS Welcomes Dr. Pierre Desrochers as Adjunct Professor

ESIS welcomes Dr. Pierre Desrochers as Adjunct Professor, effective July 1st, 2019. Pierre Desrochers is the Director, Corporate Information Management, to Crown Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada. His team integrates information management considerations into all aspects of the department’s business, including the implementation of recordkeeping, the governance of departmental administrative data, forms and stationery management, the implementation of GCDocs ‒ the solution adopted by the Government of Canada for enterprise information management, the Departmental Library, as well as the policies, procedures, guidelines, initiatives, plans and strategies governing Information Management in the Department. Prior to this position, he held various positions and functions within Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC)  and Library and Archives Canada. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Montreal in applied human sciences within the interdisciplinary fields of information science and public administration. He was recently appointed as a Canada School of Public Service Digital Academy Fellow in artificial intelligence. He is a frequent lecturer at the University of Ottawa School of Information Studies and École nationale d'administration publique (Outaouais campus).
