The School of Information Studies will host Mr. Ross Gordon as a Public Servant in Residence on August 1st, 2019 for one year. Currently working as Director of Records and Information Management at Environment and Climate Change Canada , Mr. Gordon will benefit from this Public Servant-in-Residence program from the Canada School of Public Service to increase and strengthen the links between this institution and the University of Ottawa. During this residency, Ross will be teaching a course on information management, conduct research on how emerging technologies can be utilized by the government Information Management (IM) specialists, offer information sessions with students who wish to join the public service and create linkages between ESIS/uOttawa and the public service’s IM community.
