Miriam Cusson, MFA in directing graduate, is the 2017 recipient of the Ontario Arts Council’s John Hirsh prize

Created in 1989, the John Hirsh prize honours a director from Ontario every other year. Born in Sudbury, the director, actress and author Miriam Cusson has founded and directed numerous companies including Productions Roches Brûlées (2009-2014). An interdisciplinary artist, Miriam is known for building bridges between literature, poetry and theatre.
